I am Lekhram Dasmuth from Mauritius . I came to England in 1962 for a better prospect and settled down in this beautiful and distant country where I had thought I would never be able to stand the bitter cold weather. To improve the knowledge of my profession I was doing, I started following different courses in Mechanics and studied at night simultaneously to seize the golden opportunity this country had to offer. I studied more in this great country in my old age than I did in my youth in my own native country Mauritius . Only now I have come to know the value of studying while you are young with a swift thinking mind and good eyesight. While still at work, I followed all the courses available in Mechanics. As a result, I worked successfully for many firms and even taught the young boys how to become a skilled motor mechanic.
When I retired, I started following computer courses, another fascinating and complicated subject. I met a very nice lady Farzaneh Pourani at The Lawns in London where Mr Richard Brine, Monsieur Hugh Bernard and Mr Rick Crust, such great experts worked. Rick a real genius was also teaching different courses with whom I gathered more knowledge too. He is guiding me on The Blogspot, another programme in the internet and making me work harder than ever to produce enough material for this yet another fascinating and worthwhile pursuit.
Farzaneh has been very kind to create a Website for me which gave me so much pleasure opening it in the Internet. I was thrilled to see my works placed so neatly and colourfully in the internet by her. She told me to prepare a short introduction. Before introducing the note to the computer, I gave it to her to double check it. She gave a seal of approval with her broad smile and that assured me that everything was ok as her beautiful face compared to a newly minted coin lit up when she said she is highly flattered reading the introduction. I am very grateful to her.
I have been writing poems and doing photography too which this website will prove. Nothing is impossible if one wants to achieve something in life. Only the beginning is difficult. Remember that the longest journey always starts with the first step. Last but not the least: The computer has become my best friend now in which I do Paintings as well as all the other Works, but I still consider that " Nature around is an open book in which is written the glory of God. Everywhere the great painting is exhibited. Enjoy the painting and salute the painter. " As said the great world teacher Keshavadas ji.
